Services Offered

My Midwifery practice is based on the fact that pregnancy and birth is a normal process and therefore, I am just there to make sure everything is progressing normally with as little intervention as necessary.

My Services Include:

• Complete prenatal care (home visits available depending on your distance from me)
• The first visit includes routine obstetrical lab work and a complete medical history.
• At every prenatal I will be performing:
  • Blood pressure
  • Urine Checks
  • Pulse
  • Weight Checks on Mom
  • Fetal Heart Tones
  • Assessing fetal position
  • Assessing fetal Movement
• Occasionally throughout your pregnancy I will be checking your Iron and glucose levels in your blood.
• At every prenatal you will be encouraged to ask any questions you have and you will never feel rushed

Labor and Delivery:

• My clients are encouraged to call me anytime of the day or night if they think they are in labor.
• My assistant and I will be with you throughout your labor and birth.
• The babies are put directly on the mom’s tummy for instant bonding.
• Father’s are welcome to catch.
• I will stay with you 2 hours after both mom and baby are stable with breastfeeding established.

Included in your fee are 4 postpartum visits:

• 2nd day postpartum visit:
  • Weigh and examine the baby
  • Check up on mom
  • Foot print the baby
  • Review the birth certificate
  • Answer any questions you might have
  • 1st Newborn Screen for baby
• 2 Week Visit:
  • Weigh and examine the baby
  • Check up on mom
  • Answer any questions you might have
  • 2nd Newborn Screen for baby
• 6 week visit:
  • Weigh and examine the baby
  • Check up on mom
• 3 Month Visit:
  • Well Woman Check on mom
  • Weigh and examine the baby

As you can see I spend a lot of time with my ladies and give one on one personalized care. It is very important that we have an open, honest relationship working together to create a wonderful memory for you & your family.
